Oh Dear...
The last time I posted my "Flour Power" yummies was wayy back in the month of June. This conclude that I didn't posted up any "Flour Power" segment last July and August.. (that includes myself not posting other stories too) :(
But the funny part is seeing myself twitting like a tweedy Bird on Twitter makes me feel like the power of current trend of social networking are happily sucking me dry...(literally)!!
Dandelion's Flour Power section is actually my monthly cooking/baking escapade witnessing myself experimenting my domestic skills..
Coming back to this this segment...
Recently, I decided to dish out a pleasant surprise for a friend on her birthday.
I always have the fondness towards big chunky chewy cookies and decided to tryout the recipe that I stumbled upon sometimes ago..
Here is the recipe that makes approximately 24 cookies.
The ingredients:
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup White Sugar
1/4 Cup Honey
2 Nos Eggs (Large)
2 1/4 Cups Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 Cups Choc Chips

Visually... these are the ingredients
First stop, beat butter and sugar in a medium speed till light and fluffy.
Then add in honey.

Add in eggs; one at a time and continue beating the batter in a medium speed

At the meantime, on a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients
(flour + baking soda + salt) and gradually add into the wet batter...

Then add in your generous amount of chocolate chips into the batter... (by the time I added the chips, I was almost drooling imagining the choc chips will be melted in the oven)...

I sprinkled in some cocoa powder for the lovely smell and the bitter chocolaty taste!

Before I almost forgot, the oven needs to be preheated at 162ºC or 325ºF, 10minutes before you pop your cookies in!

*Bake the cookies for around 15 minutes or 20minutes if the cookies are bigger.*
Tadaaah...my cookies are ready to be served!

And I had brighten up someone's day while polishing my baking skills!

Happy Birthday Dear. Expect me to bake more in the future!
On the other note,
If you prefer the old fashion crunchy cookies, just let it be in the oven for around 20minutes and 25minutes if it is a big cookie.
Enjoy~
